Peter Nero & Tim Warfield

A must-see musical event with performances by legendary pianist Peter Nero along with bassist Michael Barnett and saxophonist Tim Warfield.

Half of the performance will feature Peter Nero along with bassist Michael Barnett, and the other half will feature Tim Warfield.

The evening will conclude with a wildly improvisational jam session with Peter and Tim!

Peter Nero

Enjoy a night to remember with two-time Grammy Award-winner and founding Music Director of the world renowned Philly Pops, Peter Nero, along with Michael Barnett.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of Peter Nero’s recording career, which has produced 67 recordings. In 1960, he was signed to a three-year contract with RCA Victor records, which was then renewed for another five years, producing more than 26 LPs, including Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Piano Concerto in F with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops. The following year, he was honored with his first Grammy® Award as “Best New Artist of the Year.”

Tim Warfield

Known for his sensual and smoky tone, saxophonist Tim Warfield and his group will explore updated arrangements of classic songs originating as early as the 1920s that are soulful, distinctive and personal. Performing music from Tim Warfield’s Criss Cross Jazz recording, A Sentimental Journey, the group will showcase some rare but timeless musical gems including Meyer, Kahn and Caesar’s, “Crazy Rhythm,” Yvain’s “My Man” and Duke Ellington’s “In a Sentimental Mood.” Tim Warfield’s recording A Sentimental Journey, was featured as a “Critic’s Choice” in the New York Times by Ben Ratliff.
