CapLive presents…
An Evening with Toy Soldiers & Friends
The Maybe Boys Album Release Party
Special Guests: The Districts & Thom McCarthy

Toy Soldiers love a good song and dance. The lively & hard-working Philadelphia 5-piece have spent the past five years playing hundreds of shows, bringing their soulful brand of rock ‘n’ roll music to dive bars, festival stages and theaters all over the USA. And with the impending release of their second full-length, The Maybe Boys (produced by Bill Moriarty [Dr. Dog, Man Man]), they have no intention of slowing their roll. Named one of the “Top Bands to Watch in 2013” by USA Today, Toy Soldiers will continue to spread the music and inevitable good times well into 2013 and beyond.

The Districts
“The Districts are a young four-piece from Lancaster County, PA channeling a rock-and-soul vibe with singer Rob Grote’s searing voice blending with instrumental interplay. They do the very Pixies loud-quiet-LOUD thing, but in a more textured way – a thundering swell cuts, leaving a clean guitar arpeggio floating in space as Grote catches his breath; the verses build in waves, with the heaviness sometimes derived just from Braden Lawrence’s drums. Grote is an intense stage presence – he kicks, stomps and snarls, both at the mic and far away – but guitarist Mark Larson and bassist Connor Jacobus hold their own, shuffling and bobbing and giving the overall band a dynamic stage presence.”
