CapLive presents…
Seldom Scene
Special Guest: HogMaw

One of the most acclaimed bluegrass bands of all time, Seldom Scene, launched their start from basement jam sessions at the home of one of the founding members and banjo player, Ben Eldridge. Forty years later, this band has become one of the single largest contributors to the progression of bluegrass from the early days of Flatt and Scruggs and Bill Monroe to the more contemporary sounds that they founded. Their latest CD, Scenechronized, recorded in 2007, was nominated for a Grammy award.

Exclusive workshop with Seldom Scene!
4:30pm in the Capitol Theatre

Join us before the show for an exclusive workshop with Seldom Scene including an interactive session with the band. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the music industry and see first-hand how the band sets up for concerts, puts together arrangements and collectively works together. Supported by Mid-Atlantic Arts, this free workshop will be held before the concert at 4:30pm in the Capitol Theatre and will last for 45 minutes.

This tour engagement of Seldom Scene is funded through the American Masterpieces program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
